  • Prioritize iodine for maternal and fetal health! Iodine plays a crucial role in thyroid function and fetal brain development during pregnancy. Encourage expectant mothers to use iodized salt in their meals to ensure adequate iodine intake
  • Debunking breastfeeding myths! Help mothers by debunking common breastfeeding myths.
  • For pregnant women experiencing side effects from iron and folic acid (IFA) supplementation, it’s advisable to avoid taking IFA and calcium supplements together.
  • Healthcare providers, highlight the importance of fathers’ support in the breastfeeding journey. Educate dads on how they can assist and encourage breastfeeding mothers.
  • The first hour after birth! Stress the importance of initiating breastfeeding within the first hour after birth. This ‘golden hour’ is crucial for successful breastfeeding and bonding
  • Breastfeeding for sustainable development! Breastfeeding contributes to achieving Sustainable Development Goals by improving health, nutrition, and economic growth. Promote its importance for a better future.
  • guidance can significantly enhance maternal and fetal nutrition! Encourage expectant mothers to incorporate fortified wheat flour, edible oil and ghee into their diets.
  • Creating breastfeeding-friendly workplaces! Advocate for workplace accommodations like paid maternity leave and dedicated spaces for breastfeeding
  • Preparing for birth: Nutrition in the third trimester! In the final stretch of pregnancy, nutrient requirements peak to support fetal development and prepare for birth.
