On September 2, 2024, at the Sindh Judicial Academy, AAN Consulting organized training on “Development of Rights for Persons with Disabilities” on September 2, 2024, at Sindh Judicial Academy.

To improve the development of rights for persons with disabilities in Pakistan, a comprehensive approach is necessary. This training has many parts and discussions, some of the important parts included:

1. Strengthening law enforcement and implementation of disability rights laws and policies.

2. Raising awareness through inclusive education, media campaigns, and community engagement.

3. Investing in accessible infrastructure, transportation, and services.

4. Expanding education and employment opportunities, including vocational training and job quotas.

5. Increasing participation of persons with disabilities in decision-making processes.

6. Improving access to healthcare, rehabilitation, and assistive devices.

7. Establishing a national disability commission to oversee implementation and enforcement.

By adopting these measures, Pakistan can promote the empowerment and full participation of persons with disabilities, aligning with international standards and commitments. The Sindh Judicial Academy’s initiative aims to catalyze change and foster a more inclusive society.
